This review of 24 St. John’s Road is based on the service provided by Private Landlord
The house was in generally good condition. Gas, electric and wifi bills were additional to the rent. The property manager was very slow to respond to any queries. There is off street parking in front of the house.
The house has three stories. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, a toilet and separate shower room. There is also a conservatory with a smashed roof and it is filled mainly with worn out garden furniture. The first floor has one bedroom, kitchen and living room. The second floor has two bedrooms, a utility room (with washing machine and
tumble dryer) and a bathroom. There is also an airing cupboard and the boiler.

The back garden had been totally neglected - there was a plastic pond filled with moss, no plant life as such, a crusty barbecue and lots of sad-looking garden ornaments. There was a shed we never went in because we weren't given a key. All carpets and wallpaper/paint throughout was generally well maintained.

The living room was really awkwardly small with no furniture other than a stained, saggy sofa, an overly large dining table (which did fold down) and three office chairs. There was a balcony leading out from the living room which was a nice touch but quite small. The door leading onto the balcony was difficult to open and close. The upstairs bathroom had damp on the ceiling. The downstairs toilet was small, cold and dark.
All bedrooms had single beds, large desks, office chairs and lots of wardrobe space. All bedrooms are large and relatively equal in size.
There was a mix of Venetian blinds and curtains throughout (the curtains were pretty ugly).

Everything functioned in the kitchen but it was a bit small for 5 people - especially when it came to fridge space. The extractor fan in the kitchen comes on automatically when the light is switched on and is quite loud and can be heard from the bedrooms above.
